This Practice Exam validates that the candidate has the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to work professionally in an entry-level position in the agriculture industry. They can demonstrate essential skills and knowledge in the application of basic plant, animal, and soil science; food safety; agricultural safety and regulatory practices; record keeping/documentation; and an efficient and effective use of resources.
This Practice Exam is based on the skills, knowledge, and abilities typically taught during the first year in an agricultural program. Before beginning to study for this certification, candidates should have an 8th-grade reading level, math skills equivalent to Algebra I, and basic computer skills. Although not required, some supervised agricultural experience (SAE) is recommended before taking the exam.
